Frequently Asked Questions

Some helpful information about starting therapy with Delta

Where will my child’s speech & language sessions take place?

Currently, only in-home sessions are offered for treatment and assessment with the possibility of virtual sessions depending on your child’s needs. Service delivery will be determined after your initial intake call.

Does Delta provide direct billing for health insurance?

Direct billing is not currently offered. Delta will provide an invoice at the end of each therapy session for benefit claims. Many extended health insurance plans reimburse speech-language pathology services provided by a registered SLP. Families are encouraged to check coverage details with their insurer.

Will I receive a report following initial visit?

Formal reports can be requested at an additional cost. SLP will share assessment findings and therapy goals with families following assessment.

What does an intake call involve?

Intake calls are required prior to an initial visit. We want to make sure that new clients feel comfortable and fully prepared for their initial visit. We’ll discuss therapy expectations together, address any missing information, and have an open conversation about your needs, ensuring you feel heard and understood before we begin.
